I have continued on this golf accessories theme with a bobble texture golf club pattern. These golf club covers are perfect gift makes for any golf fans.

Stripy Crochet Bobble Effect Golf club cover

Materials

4mm crochet hook.
50g ball of DK wool in black.
50g ball of DK wool in orange.
Stitch marker.
Darning needle.
2.5cm pom pom maker, or 2 circles of card with a 2.5cm diameter.

Finished Size

22cm high.
12cm at its widest point.
Rib section: 8cm wide.

Special Stitches

bobble:

(yo, insert hook, yo, pull up loop, yo, pull through 2 loops) x3, yo, pull through all loops.

In black:

Make a magic ring, ch1, 6sc into ring (6).

Round 1: 2sc into each stitch (12).

Round 2: *2sc into next sc, sc into next stitch. Repeat from * around (18).

Round 3: *2sc into next sc, sc into next 2 stitches. Repeat from * around (24).

Change to orange:

Round 4: *3htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Round 5: *2sc into next sc, sc into next stitch. Repeat from * around (36).

Round 6: sc around:

Round 7: *2sc into next sc, sc into next 3 stitches. Repeat from * around (45).

Change to orange:

Round 8: *4htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Rounds 9-11: sc around.

Change to orange.

Round 12: *4htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Rounds 13-15: sc around.

Change to orange:

Round 16: *4htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Rounds 17-19: sc around.

Change to orange.

Round 20: *4htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Rounds 21-23: sc around.

Change to orange:

Round 24: *4htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Rounds 25-26: sc around.

Round 27: *sc2tog, sc into next 3 stitches. Repeat from * around (36).

Change to orange:

Round 28: *3htr/hdc, bobble. Repeat from * around.

Change to black:

Round 29: *sc2tog, sc into next stitch. Repeat from * around (24).

Round 30: sc around:

Round 31: sc around:

Adding the ribbing:

ch15, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of row, ss into the next 2 stitches. Turn.

*sc into the back loops only. Turn.

ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc into back loops only, ss into next 2 stitches. Turn.

Repeat from * around. Once back to the start ss the start and end rows together.

Adding The Pom Pom

Using the orange wool and the 2.5cm pom pom maker or card circles make a pom pom (a How to make a pom pom with card circles can be found here).
Attach the pom pom to the top of the golf club cover by sewing through the middle of the pom pom and securing to the top of the hat.
