Crochet Rudolph The Reindeer Coaster Pattern
Materials
- 6mm crochet hook.
- 4.5mm crochet hook.
- 1 x 50g ball of DK wool in brown.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in red.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in light brown.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in black.
- Darning needle.
- Scissors.
- Stitch marker.
Special stitches
Bobble:
[insert hook, yo, pull up loop (pic. 1), yo, pull through 1 loop on hook (pic. 2)] complete from [ to ] 3 times (pic. 3), yo, pull through all loops on hook (pic. 4).
Rudolph The Reindeer Coaster: Main Reindeer
Red wool, 6mm hook, 2 strands at the same time.
Make a magic ring, ch1, 6sc into ring.
Round 1: 2sc into each sc (12).
Round 2: 2sc into next sc, sc into next stitch. Repeat around (18).
Round 3: 2sc into next stitch, sc into next 2 stitches. Repeat around (24).
Change to 1 strand of brown and a 4.5mm hook. Change on the last yo of the final stitch of the round.
Round 4: 2sc into next stitch, sc into next 3 stitches. Repeat around (30).
Round 5: 2sc into next stitch, sc into next 4 stitches. Repeat around (36).
Round 6: 2sc into next stitch, sc into next 5 stitches. Repeat around (42).
Round 7: [2sc into next sc, change to black on last yo of previous stitch (pic. 1), bobble twice, change to brown on last yo of second bobble stitch (pic. 2 and 3), 3sc] complete from [ to ] twice (pic. 4 and 5). *2sc into next sc, sc into next 6 stitches. Repeat from * around.
Round 8: [2sc into next sc, 2sc, change to black on last yo of previous stitch, bobble twice, change to brown on last yo of second bobble stitch, 3sc] complete from [ to ] twice. *2sc into next sc, sc into next 7 stitches. Repeat from * around (54).
Round 9: sc around (54).
Fasten off.
Rudolph The Reindeer Coaster: Left Antler
4.5mm hook, brown wool.
ch10, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row.
ch4 (pic. 1), sc into 2nd ch from hook, 2sc (pic. 2), sc into stitch at end of row (pic. 3).
ch6 (pic. 4), sc into 2nd ch from hook, 4sc (pic. 5), sc into stitch at end of row (pic. 6).
4ss (pic. 7), ch3 (pic. 8), sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc, ss into base of ch3 (pic. 9), ss along rest of the row (pic. 10).
Fasten off.

4.5mm hook, brown wool.
ch10, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row.
5ss (pic. 1), ch3, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc, ss into base of ch3 (pic. 2).
4ss (pic. 3), ch6, sc into 2nd ch from hook, 4sc, sc into end of row (pic. 4).
ch4, sc into 2nd ch from hook, 2sc, sc into end of row (pic 5.).
ss into next stitch (pic. 6).
Fasten off.

Make 2.
4.5 mm hook, brown wool.
Make a magic ring, ch1, 6sc into ring.
Round 1: (2sc into next sc, 2sc) twice (8).
Rounds 2-3: sc around (8).
Round 4: (2sc into next sc, 3sc) twice (10).
Rounds 5-6: sc around (10).
Fasten off.
Fold in the two bottom left and right corners until they meet in the middle and sew to secure.
Rudolph The Reindeer Coaster: Assembly
- Sew an ear onto each the side of the reindeer head.
- Sew an antlers onto each side of the reindeer head next to the ears.
- Using black wool and a running stitch cast on at the back and sew a smile onto the coaster just below and to the left of the nose.
