Following on from my present and holly themed Christmas granny squares we have a bauble themed Christmas Granny square pattern.

Crochet Granny Square Christmas Series: Christmas Present

Materials:

• 4.5mm crochet hook.
• DK wool in white (50g), red (10g), yellow (10g), and green (10g).

Crochet Granny Square Christmas Series: Christmas Bauble

Using a 4.5mm hook and red, ch4, ss into 1st stitch to make a ring, into ring:

Round 1: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch), 3tr(UK)/dc(US), (ch2, 3tr(UK)/dc(US)) 3 times, ch2 ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) of the round, change to green during ss.

Round 2: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch), 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, (ch1, [3tr(UK)/dc(US), ch2, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap]) 3 times, ch1, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, ch2, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) of the round, change to white during ss.

Round 3: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch), 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, ch1, change to yellow, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch1 gap, change to white, ch1, ([3tr(UK)/3dc(US), ch2, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap], ch1, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch1 gap) 3 times, ch1, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, ch2, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) of the round, change to white during ss.

Round 4: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch), 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, (ch1, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch1 gap twice, ch1, [[3tr(UK)/dc(US), ch2, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap]) 3 times, ch1, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch1 gap twice, 3tr(UK)/dc(US) into ch2 gap, ch2, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) of the round.

Fasten off.
