Folded Granny Square Crochet And Button Tree Christmas Decoration

, ,

I have previously made a number of different folded fabric Christmas decorations and also a crochet folded tree decoration using corner to corner crochet and this year have decided I want to make another crochet version. Rather than using corner to corner crochet again I opted to use a granny square – with some additional details along 2 of the edges to create a tree like texture when folded. I find these folded trees are a great quick make and are perfect for using up leftover wool and buttons from other projects.

I opted to use a few different shades of green but you could use just one shade of green or another colour of your choice. For the buttons I opted to use different shades of green but you can use all the same colour or different colours/shades. If you don’t want to use buttons you could use the crochet details I used on my corner to corner folded Christmas tree or use a mix of both.
