Hopping it’s way out through the tangled balls of wool is a cute crochet rabbit.
After making my fabric triangle rabbits I decided I wanted to try making a crochet version. Now the idea has finally been completed and the result is a little (and very cute) triangular rabbit!. These make great Easter decorations, and would also make great little easter gifts.
It is so great to see this make finally finished, it did take a few runs until I was happy with the style and there was a lot of taking apart, I was worried I would never get a finished make! Luckily I didn’t give up an a really glad I didn’t! Now to make a few more in different colours…..
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit Pattern
Finished Triangle Size:
- Height: 11 cm.
- Width: 11cm.
Materials:
- 6mm crochet hook.
- 1 x 50g balls of DK wool in green.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in pink.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in black.
- 1 x 25g ball of DK wool in black.
- Toy stuffing.
- Darning needle.
- Stitch marker.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Main Body Piece
6mm hook, green wool, using 2 strands at the same time.
ch17, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row (16).
Row 1: ch2 (doesn’t count as a stitch) in back loops only htr/hdc along row.
Row 2: ch1(doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.
Row 3: Repeat row 1.
Row 4: Repeat row 2.
Row 5: Repeat row 1.
Row 6: Repeat row 2.
Row 7: Repeat row 1.
Row 8: Repeat row 2.
Row 9: Repeat row 1.
Row 10: Repeat row 2.
Row 11: Repeat row 1.
Row 12: Repeat row 2.
Row 13: Repeat row 1.
Row 14: Repeat row 2.
Row 15: Repeat row 1.
Row 16: Repeat row 2.
Row 17: Repeat row 1.
Row 18: Repeat row 2.

Fasten off, leaving long thread to attach.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Ears
Make 2, 6mm hook, green wool, using 2 strands at the same time.
Make a magic ring, ch1, 4sc into ring.
Round 1: 2sc into each sc (8).
Round 2: sc around.
Round 3: 2sc into next sc, 2sc, 2sc into next sc, 4sc (10).
Rounds 4-8: sc around.
Round 9: sc2tog, 2sc, sc2tog, 4sc (8).
Round 10: sc2tog, sc, sc2tog, 3sc (6).
Round 11: sc around.
Round 12: sc2tog, sc, sc2tog, sc (4).
Fasten off, leaving long thread to attach.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Assembly
- Take the rectangular body piece and fold in half to form a square.
- Place the two ears in place along the top edge, with the bottom of the two ears 1cm from the edge.
- Sew along the top edge and down one side.
- Place in the toy stuffing.
- Place opposite sides of the opening together and sew to close.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Tail
Make a pom pom using the white wool and a 2.5cm pom pom maker (or 2 pieces of card). Sew the pom pom to the back of the rabbit.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Eyes
Using black wool sew on an eye either side of the face.
Crochet Mini Triangle Rabbit: Nose
Using pink wool sew on a nose to the front of the face.
Hook Stitch Sew
