Halloween is rapidly approaching so I have decided it is time to focus on some Halloween themed makes and patterns.

First up is a pattern for a mini Halloween pumpkin – perfect for decorating with this Halloween. You could also make a few of these mini pumpkins and attach them to make some bunting.

Creating the pumpkin grooves:

  • Cut a long length of orange wool and cast on at the base of the pumpkin, then put the needle up through the middle of the pumpkin so it appears at the top.
  • Put the needle back in to the base of the pumpkin and up again through the middle, pull the thread so it tightens slightly to create a groove.
  • Repeat 3 more times.
  • Fasten off.
