Now that this has been gifted I can finally share this appliqué Jura whisky picture that I put together.
I couldn’t believe my luck when I looked in my small bits of fabric box and I found the perfect fabric colours for making the bottle and a thistle fabric which was just what I was wanting for the background. I don’t normally have such good luck finding fabrics I want to use in the fabrics I have and normally end up having to buy more!
I drew a rough sketch of the bottle and what detail I was wanting to include from the bottle and used that sketch to cut out the different fabrics and then hand sewed the writing details onto them.
The bottle fabrics are from The Craft Cotton Company and the thistle backing fabric is by Lewis and Irene Fabrics (A Walk in the Glen).
