Crochet Halloween Bat Napkin Rings Pattern

Not long now until Halloween is here, but there is still a little time left to make a few more Halloween themed things. Following on from my crochet Halloween ghost napkin holder and bunting, and crochet eyeball napkin holder is a pattern for a crochet bat napkin holder.

These would look great for a Halloween party decoration, and could be made in different colours or with shiny wool. You can even use these for little gifts and put sweets in instead of a napkin.

Crochet Halloween Bat Napkin Rings Pattern

Materials

  • 25g DK wool in black.
  • 4.5cm crochet hook.
  • Scissors.
  • Darning needle.

Crochet Halloween Napkin Rings Pattern

Band Section

Using a 4.5mm hook and black wool:

ch50, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row (49).

Row 1: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 11sc, ch4, skip 4, sc into next stitch, sc along rest of the row.

Row 2: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 34sc, 4sc into ch4 gap, 11sc.

Round 1: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 2sc, htr(UK)/hdc(US), into next stitch (tr(uK)/dc(US, ch2, ss into 2nd ch from hook, tr(UK)/dc(US)), htr(UK)/hdc(US), sc, tr(UK)/dc(US), into next stitch:(dtr(UK)/ttr(US), ch2, ss into 2nd ch from hook, dtr(UK)/ttr(US)), tr(UK)/dc(US), sc, 29ss, sc, tr(UK)/dc(US), into next stitch: (dtr(UK)/ttr(US), ch2, ss into 2nd ch from hook, dtr(UK)/ttr(US)), tr(UK)/dc(US), sc, htr(UK)/hdc(US), into next stitch:((tr(UK)/dc(US), ch2, ss into 2nd ch from hook, tr(UK)/dc(US)), htr(UK)/hdc(US), 2sc.

Assembly

  • Thread the wing through the ch4 gap to create the napkin ring.
