Crochet Folded Rabbit Easter Decoration – Part 1: Circular

I always make folded crochet Christmas trees and folded fabric Christmas tree decorations each year and decided this year it was time to make an Easter version. I opted to make an Easter rabbit, and went for two different designs the first using circles and the second using granny squares. These little rabbit decorations are perfect for decorating with this Easter and also make great gifts. They can be made in any colour you choose making them perfect for customising. You could also make these a little smaller if required y only using 3 of the circles.

I haven’t got enough time left to make a fabric version of these this year, but next year I will definitely be making some!.

Crochet Folded Rabbit Easter Decoration – Part 1: Circular

Materials:

4mm crochet hook.
50g ball of DK wool in grey (or another colour of your choice).
Small amount of pink DK wool for the inner ears.
Darning needle.
Scissors.

Crochet Folded Rabbit Easter Decoration – Part 1: Circular

First Circle:

Using a 4mm hook and grey wool:

ch5, ss into 1st sc to make a round. Into round:

Round 1: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 18 tr(UK)/dc(US), ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (18).

Fasten off.

Second Circle:

Using a 4mm hook and grey wool:

ch5, ss into 1st sc to make a round. Into round:

Round 1: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 18 tr(UK)/dc(US), ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (18).

Round 2: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) tr(UK)/dc(US) into same stitch, (2tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch, tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch) 8 times, 2tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch. Skip ss and ch3 at start of the round, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (27).

Fasten off.

Third Circle:

Using a 4mm hook and grey wool:

ch5, ss into 1st sc to make a round. Into round:

Round 1: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 18 tr(UK)/dc(US), ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (18).

Round 3: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) tr(UK)/dc(US) into same stitch, (2tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch, tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch) 13 times. Skip ss and ch3 at start of the round, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (40).

Fasten off.

Fourth Circle:

Using a 4mm hook and grey wool:

ch5, ss into 1st sc to make a round. Into round:

Round 1: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) 18 tr(UK)/dc(US), ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (18).

Round 4: ch3 (doesn’t count as a stitch) tr(UK)/dc(US) into same stitch, (2tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch, tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch) 19 times, tr(UK)/dc(US) into next stitch. Skip ss and ch3 at start of the round, ss into top of 1st tr(UK)/dc(US) at start of the round (60).

Fasten off.
