These little frogs are great as gifts and also make great pattern weights!. You can make these as big or as small as you like and can customise the colours/patterns on the fabric to suit the recipient or your own taste. they are quick to make too so are great if you need a last minute gift make. I have added a little extra detail to these frog by adding a mouth and tongue – you could even make a little fly to go with them too!.
Fabric gifted by The Craft Cotton Company.

Sewing Tutorial: Bean Bag Frogs/Pattern Weights
- Fold a piece of paper in half lengthways and draw the outline of one side your frog, cut out.
- Fold one of your fabric colours in half lengthways and place the folded paper template along the folded fabric edge. Cut out leaving 1cm seam allowance. Use this fabric template to cut out the remaining fabric for the body (one fabric piece for the top and the other for the bottom in the same of different fabric colours depending on what you have chosen for your frog).
- Take the 3rd fabric colour and fold in half, place the folded bottom edge along the base of the head section of the cut out frog body pieces. Cut around the head section to give the mouth piece.

- Place the bottom body piece right side up, take the folded mouth piece (with right sides together) and place on top of the bottom body piece. Place the top body piece on top right side down. Pin around the body and mouth pieces to secure. Sew around leaving a gap on the frogs side for turning.
- Turn out the right way and sew the gap closed.

- Cut out a long strip from the felt for the frog tongue and sew inside the mouth.
- Sew on the buttons for the frogs eyes.
