Minecraft Corner To Corner Crochet Block Series: Part 5 – Magma Block Pattern

I can’t believe I’m on to block 5 already – I’ve kind of got a bit carried away and stopped all other projects while doing these! I might need to slow down a bit so I can finish off some of my other half completed projects.

Following on from the Redstone Ore block is a magma block – seeing some orange wool in my stash prompted me to do the magma cube next.

This is the same size (17x17x17 cm) as the other blocks and I used half treble (UK)/half doubles (US) corner to corner crochet with a 3.5mm hook. How to half treble(UK)/half double (US) corner to corner crochet is available here.

Corner To Corner Crochet Minecraft Block Blanket Pattern: Blocks 1-3 (TNT, Chest, Diamond Ore)

While making my first two corner to corner Minecraft blocks (TNT and Chest blocks) I was sat looking at all the side pieces laid out and that gave me another make idea (not that I really need any more WIPs on the go…), this idea was to make a Minecraft themed blanket to show the fronts of all the blocks I have made. All I need to do for this is make one extra front side of each of the blocks and then put them all together to get my finished blanket.

I might a border once I’m done but I will wait until I’ve got a few more joined together until I decide. To join the blocks I just placed them right sides together and sewed down the side, so far I’ve got 3 of the blocks joined and hopefully it won’t be too long until I have a few more to add to it.

Minecraft Corner To Corner Crochet Block Series: Part 4 – Redstone Ore Block Pattern

Following on from my Diamond ore block I decided to keep with the ore theme and opted to make a redstone ore next!.

This is quite similar to the diamond ore, but I think this and the diamond ore will look really good together. I have already got the next block started too – this will be a magma block and I cant wait to share it!.

Made using a 3.5mm hook, and using half treble(UK)/half double(US) corner to corner crochet (Guide on half treble(UK)/half double corner to corner crochet available here).

Once you have made the 6 sides sew the pieces together down the sides, you can use a piece of foam or stuffing to fill the cube.  If using a cube sew the pieces together around it, if your using stuffing sew all the sides together but leave a 10cm gap so you can then put the stuffing in then sew the gap closed.

Minecraft Corner To Corner Crochet Block Series: Part 3 – Diamond Ore Block Pattern

It started with a TNT block, followed by a chest – now its time for a diamond ore block!

There are so many of these Minecraft blocks that I want to make – 3 down so far and a lot more to go, I have another idea to use the patterns for too – but it will be a while until I can reveal that make!

Made again using half trebles(UK)/half double (US) corner to corner crochet (how to available here) and a 3.5mm crochet hook. Finished size is 17x17x17 cm – if you want these in a bigger size just up the hook size.

Now time to get started on the next one…….

Among Us Character Corner To Corner Crochet Pattern

I’ve been trying to get through a few projects that have been in my to do list for ages – some have been half started and I’ve decided to try and get through some of those first before taking on new projects off the list!

First up is an Among Us corner to corner make, I’ve had this drawn out and a few rows started for a few weeks but am glad I’ve finally focussed on it and got it finished – so glad in fact, I’ve already got a few more ideas for some more in different colours and poses – I need to make sure I don’t get distracted and start making those before I get through a few more makes off my list!

This pattern is available over on Patreon and is the free make for June for my Patreon subscribers.

Minecraft Corner To Corner Crochet Block Series: Part 2 – Minecraft Chest Block Pattern

Its time for another Minecraft block make!

Following on from my TNT block the next on my list was a chest, this one has a lot less colour changes than the TNT block which is always a bonus!. This block is the same size as the previous (17x17x17cm) and also uses half treble(UK)/half double(US) corner to corner crochet.

Grid pattern to make your own is below, and a how to on half treble(UK)/half double(US) corner to corner crochet can be found here.

Crochet hook used: 3.5mm hook

DK wool

Keep a look out for the next block – I don’t think it will be long until a few more appear!
