I loved using The Craft Cotton Company Sewing Bumblebee fabric on my bee embroidery hoop, and after seeing the spilt pins print in the Sewing Bumblebee fat quarter set (Navy) knew I had to make a sewing case for keeping all those loose needles and pins in from a project. It was perfect for the inside section, and I used the remaining patterns in the fat quarter to make a patchwork front and back.
The tutorial to make one is available over on The Craft Cotton Company blog:
Week 6 of a year in stitches has seen the addition of a few more little details including a pine cone, acorn and a bit more leaf detail. I’ve also added in a little bit more detail to the rain.
Think I might try and focus a big on the wintery section over the next week.
After making my crochet rabbit storage baskets I still needed a couple more so decided instead of just making more rabbits to make something different. Since I still had plenty of brown wool left over I opted to make some mice.
I made sure that they would still be stackable so would be able stack them up when not in use.
The pattern is available over on my Etsy shop:
Week 5 already!
It’s been rainy and windy this week so I’ve added in some more rain and some wind, snow is meant to be on its way so think more snow will be appearing by next week!
I’m super excited to get started on this granny crochet along by Zeens and Roger:
I’ve been wanting to get going with another granny project for a while now and this CAL has given me the kick to finally get going with it! I’m not going to divulge too much detail on what it is just yet as I like to keep a few surprises! Luckily I’ve got some wool that is perfect in my stash but no where near enough so I will have to get out and get some more soon. Now off to make some grannies!
