Star Wars Lightsaber Crochet Pattern: Part 4 – Dark Green Lightsaber


Since making my Star Wars third lightsaber – light green mini (first – blue and second – light green) I have been wanting to make just one more (for now…!) and again opted for a green beam.

Star Wars lightsaber crochet pattern

Materials

  • 4mm hook
  • Grey DK wool
  • Green DK wool
  • Yellow DK wool
  • Black DK wool
  • Red DK wool


Lightsaber Beam

In green:

ch25, slip stitch into first ch to make a round.

Rounds 1-25: sc around.

Round 26: sc2tog, 4sc. Repeat 4 times, sc.

Rounds 27-50: sc around.

Round 51: sc2tog, 3sc. Repeat 4 times, sc.

Rounds 52-65: sc around.

Round 66: sc2tog, 2sc. Repeat 4 times, sc.

Rounds 67-74: sc around.

Round 75: sc2tog, sc. Repeat 4 times, sc.

Rounds 76-80: sc around.

Round 81: sc2tog, repeat 4 times, sc.

Fasten off.


Lightsaber Handle

In black:

Make a magic ring, ch1, 6sc into ring.

Round 1: 2sc into each sc.

Round 2: 2sc into next sc, sc. repeat around.

Round 3: 2sc into next sc, 2sc. Repeat around.

Round 4: 2sc into next sc, 3sc. Repeat around.

Round 5: sc around into back loops only.

Round 6: sc around.

Change to grey:

Rounds 7-25: sc around.

Change to black:

Rounds 26-36: sc around.

Change to grey:

Rounds 37-42: sc around.

Change to black

Rounds 43-44: sc around

Change to yellow:

Round 45: sc around.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach beam.

Black Dot

In black:

Make a magic ring, ch1, 5sc into ring.
Round 1: 2sc into each sc.
Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.

Black Band Piece 1

ch9, sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc along rest of the row.

Rows 2-36: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.


Black Band Piece 2

In black:

ch6, sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc along rest of the row.

Rows 2-36: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.


Green Detail Piece

In green:

ch4, sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc along rest of the row.

Row 2: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.

Row 3: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc2tog, sc.

Row 4: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc2tog.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.


Black Dot Detail On Green Detail Piece

In black:

Make a magic ring, ch1, 5sc into ring.

Round 1: 2sc into each sc.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.


Yellow Detail Piece

In yellow:

ch4, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row.

Rows 2-3: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.

Row 4: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc2tog, sc.

Row 5: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc2tog.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.


Red Dot

In red:

Make a magic ring, ch1, 3sc into ring.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.

Black Strips – Make 7

In black:

ch14, sc into 2nd ch from hook, sc along rest of the row.

Row 2: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along rest of the row.

Fasten off leaving long thread to attach.

Black Piece To Go Above The Green Detail Piece

In black:

ch4, sc into 2nd ch from the hook, sc along rest of the row.

Row 2: ch1 (doesn’t count as a stitch) sc along row.

Fasten off, leaving long thread to attach.

  • Sew the details onto the lightsaber handle: for the black wrap pieces first wrap the bigger wrap piece around the lightsaber handle (the ch9 one) and sew into place, then wrap the smaller piece around on top and sew to secure.
  • Stuff the lightsaber handle and beam and sew onto the handle – You could put some cardboard or plastic tubing inside the beam when stuffing it to make it a bit more sturdy.
